A trailblazer for women’s tennis at the University of Washington, she became the first woman to reach the quarterfinals in the 1971-72 National Collegiate Tennis Championships. An excellent doubles player, she claimed three national titles during her collegiate career. She played professionally for eight years and was ranked #5 in the world in women’s doubles and #35 in singles. Her record includes being a U.S. Open doubles quarterfinalist, French Open doubles semi-finalist, Australian Open doubles finalist, and Wimbledon doubles final sixteen. Now a successful attorney in Seattle, she received her Juris Doctorate from SMU in 1983.
